If the printer is too loud, select the following menu to enable Quiet Mode. Enabling this feature may reduce print speed. Additionally, the accuracy of the alignment of the ejected paper will be reduced if Quiet Mode is enabled.
To reduce noise when faxing, adjust the following setting: Settings > General Settings > Fax Settings > Receive Settings > Print Settings > Quiet Mode
To reduce noise when performing other operations, adjust the following setting: Settings > General Settings > Printer Settings > Quiet Mode
When staple finisher-P2 is installed and printing density is high, shift sort is being performed, or stapling is being performed, operation sounds may not be reduced due to operations to align misaligned paper, even if Quiet Mode is enabled.
When staple finisher-P2 is installed, select Mode2 to reduce the paper ejection noise. Depending on the paper quality, printing data with multiple images or photos may cause paper jams when using Mode2. If the paper jams, change to Mode1. Select the following menu to access the mode setting.
