Configuring Group Policy

A group policy is one or more rules applied to a user or user group. The printer controls IP packets that match with configured policies. IP packets are authenticated in the order of a group policy 1 to 10 then a default policy.

  1. On a computer connected to the same network as the printer, open a browser and enter the printer's IP address.

    You can check the printer's IP address using the following menu.

    • Network connected to the printer's built-in LAN port
      Settings > General Settings > Network Settings ( > Standard) > Network Status > Wired LAN/Wi-Fi Status
    • Network connected to an optional Ethernet board
      Settings > General Settings > Network Settings > Additional > Network Status > Wired LAN Status
    • Network connected to the Wireless LAN Interface-P1
      Settings > General Settings > Network Settings >Network Status > Wired LAN/Wi-Fi Status
  2. Enter the administrator password to log in as an administrator.

  3. Select the following menu.

    Network Security tab > IPsec/IP Filtering > Basic

  4. Click a numbered tab you want to configure.

  5. Enter a value for each item.

  6. Click Next.

    A confirmation message is displayed.

  7. Click OK.

    The printer is updated.
