Deleting a CA-signed Certificate

You can delete an imported certificate when the certificate has expired or when an encrypted connection is no longer necessary.

Important:

If you obtain a certificate using a CSR created from Web Config, you cannot import a deleted certificate again. In this case, create a CSR and obtain a certificate again.

  1. On a computer connected to the same network as the printer, open a browser and enter the printer's IP address.

    You can check the printer's IP address using the following menu.

    • Network connected to the printer's built-in LAN port
      Settings > General Settings > Network Settings ( > Standard) > Network Status > Wired LAN/Wi-Fi Status
    • Network connected to an optional Ethernet board
      Settings > General Settings > Network Settings > Additional > Network Status > Wired LAN Status
    • Network connected to the Wireless LAN Interface-P1
      Settings > General Settings > Network Settings >Network Status > Wired LAN/Wi-Fi Status
  2. Enter the administrator password to log in as an administrator.

  3. Select the following menu.

    Network Security tab.

  4. Select one of the following.

    • SSL/TLS > Certificate
    • IPsec/IP Filtering > Client Certificate
    • IEEE802.1X > Client Certificate
    • S/MIME > Client Certificate
  5. Click Delete for CA-signed Certificate or Client Certificate.

  6. Confirm that you want to delete the certificate in the message displayed.
