Configuring the Interfaces

Set the timeout period and printing language assigned to each interface.

This item is displayed on the PCL or PostScript compatible printer.

  1. On a computer connected to the same network as the printer, open a browser and enter the printer's IP address.

    You can check the printer's IP address using the following menu.

    • Network connected to the printer's built-in LAN port
      Settings > General Settings > Network Settings ( > Standard) > Network Status > Wired LAN/Wi-Fi Status
    • Network connected to the Wireless LAN Interface-P1
      Settings > General Settings > Network Settings >Network Status > Wired LAN/Wi-Fi Status
  2. Enter the administrator password to log in as an administrator.

  3. Select these menu items in the following order.

    Print tab > Interface Settings

  4. Select the following settings.

    • Timeout Settings
      SSelect the timeout period for print jobs sent directly via USB.
      You can select between 5 and 300 seconds in one second increments.
      When you do not want to timeout, enter 0.
    • Printing Language
      Select the printing language for each USB interface and network interface.
      When you select Auto, the printing language is automatically detected by the print jobs being sent.
  5. Review the settings, and then click OK.
