Configuring the Paper Sources

Select the size and type of paper to be loaded in each paper source.

  1. On a computer connected to the same network as the printer, open a browser and enter the printer's IP address.

    You can check the printer's IP address using the following menu.

    • Network connected to the printer's built-in LAN port
      Settings > General Settings > Network Settings ( > Standard) > Network Status > Wired LAN/Wi-Fi Status
    • Network connected to the Wireless LAN Interface-P1
      Settings > General Settings > Network Settings >Network Status > Wired LAN/Wi-Fi Status
  2. Enter the administrator password to log in as an administrator.

  3. Select these menu items in the following order.

    Print tab > Paper Source Settings

  4. Select settings as necessary.

    The displayed items may vary depending on the printer configuration.

    • Paper source name
      Display the target paper source name, such as Paper Tray, Cassette 1.
    • Paper Size
      Select the paper size you will use.
    • Unit
      Select the unit of measurement you want to use for a user-defined size. You can select it when User defined is selected on Paper Size.
    • Width
      Enter the horizontal length of the user-defined size.
      The range you can enter here depends on the paper source, which is indicated next to Width.
      When you select mm in Unit, you can enter up to one decimal place.
      When you select inch in Unit, you can enter up to two decimal places.
    • Height
      Enter the vertical length of the user-defined size.
      The range you can enter here depends on the paper source, which is indicated next to Height.
      When you select mm in Unit, you can enter up to one decimal place.
      When you select inch in Unit, you can enter up to two decimal places.
    • Paper Type
      Select the paper type you will use.
  5. Review the settings, and then click OK.
