Cannot use the control panel buttons

Is the scanner performing initial operations or scanning, or is Document Capture Pro processing a file or creating a PDF?

Buttons may not work when the scanner is performing initial operations or scanning, or when Document Capture Pro is processing a file or creating a PDF. Try again after all processes are complete.

Is the Event screen from Properties under Scanners and Cameras on the Control Panel set correctly?
  • Check that the Take No Action check box is cleared. When this is selected, the scanner buttons are disabled.

  • Select Document Capture Pro if it is not selected.
