User-Defined Index Settings Screen (Only Available for Specific Models)

This screen is displayed when you select Enable Index Function and click User-Defined Index Settings.

Set the contents for a user-defined index.

Item

Explanation

User-Defined Items

Displays a list of the indexes you have created.

To change the order of the items, select an item from the list on the right, and then click Up or Down.

Add

Adds a user-defined index. On the screen displayed when you click Add, set the name and the format type for the user-defined index.

You can add up to 10 user-defined items barcodes and OCR.

Delete

You can delete a user-defined index by clicking it while the user-defined index is selected.

Duplicate

You can duplicate a user-defined index by clicking it while the user-defined index is selected.

Barcode

(When Barcode is selected as the Type of user-defined item)

All Barcode Type

Select All Barcode Type to select all of the barcode types as a batch.

Clear All Barcode Type to select individual barcode types.

Maximum Length of Detected Text

Set the maximum number of barcode characters that can be detected.

You can set up to 250 characters.

Show the detection result

Select this to check the barcode detection results after scanning.

OCR

(When OCR is selected as the Type of user-defined item)

Recognition Text

Select the language or OCR font.

Maximum Length of Detected Text

Set the maximum number of text characters that can be detected.

Show the detection result

Select this to check the OCR detection results after scanning.

Character Type

If you select OCR-A or OCR-B, the Character Type is displayed.

Select All Supported Character to select all of the text types as a batch.

Clear All Supported Character to select individual text types.

Preview Scan

Drag on the preview screen to specify the barcode or OCR detection area.

If the preview screen is not displayed, place the original and then click Preview Scan to display the preview.

This preview image is retained until you create another preview or discard the previewed image.
