Make sure there is enough space in front of the scanner for the ejected originals.
Make sure the scanner position light () is on.
If the scanner position light () is off, pull the scanner position selector to tilt the scanner back.
Open the input tray.
Raise the input tray extension.
Move the edge guides to the edges of the input tray.
Load the original into the input tray straight, facing up and with the top edge facing into the ADF.
Insert the paper into the ADF until it meets resistance.
When loading long paper, support it at the input side so that it does not drop out of the ADF, and the output side so that the ejected paper does not get jammed or fall from the output tray.
Adjust the edge guides to fit the edges of the original so that there are no gaps. If there are any gaps, the original may be fed skewed.
If the edge guides are too far apart or too tight, the original may not be fed correctly. The edge guides should be aligned so that they lightly touch the edges of the original.
Also, while scanning long paper, support both ends of the original with your hands to prevent it from tilting.
You can scan long paper at the following resolutions.
· Up to 393.7 mm: 600 dpi or less
· 393.7 mm to 3,048 mm: 300 dpi or less
You need to specify the paper size in the Epson Scan 2 window.
When you are using Document Capture Pro, you can open the window by pressing the Detailed Settings button on the Scan Settings screen.
On the Main Settings tab in Epson Scan 2, select Auto Detect (Long Paper) as the Document Size.
