Before Using Fax Features

When you want to check the status of the fax settings, print a Fax Settings List by selecting Fax > (More) > Fax Report > Fax Settings List. If your organization has a printer administrator, contact your administrator to check the status or conditions of the connection and settings.

Confirm the following before you start using the fax features.

• The printer and the phone line, and any external phone device (if it is being used) are connected correctly

  Connecting the Printer to a Phone Line

• Fax basic settings (Fax Setting Wizard) are complete

  Preparing the Printer to Send and Receive Faxes

  Contacts Registration

• Other necessary Fax Settings are selected

  Configuring the Printer's Fax Features

  Fax Settings

  Registering an Email Server

  Creating a Network Folder
