Adjusting the Paper Feed

If you see banding or unevenness in your printouts and print head cleaning does not help, using this feature may improve print quality.

  1. Load paper for which you want to perform adjustments in the printer.

  2. Select on the printer's control panel.

  3. Select Maintenance > Paper Feed Adjust.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to print the patterns.

  5. Check the printed patterns and then select the number of the pattern with the least separated or overlapping patterns by tapping the - or + icons.

    • When there are multiple patterns that are not separated or overlapping
Select the middle number from the patterns that are not separated or overlapping.
For example, if the patterns for numbers 4, 5, and 6 are not separated or overlapping, select No. 5.
    • When all of the patterns are separated or overlapping
Compare the patterns at the beginning and the end (No.1 and No.11), and then select the number of the pattern with the least separation or overlapping.

Print the patterns again. Repeat these steps until you can select a pattern with no separation or overlapping.
