You can set up the time to shift to the power saving mode or to turn the power off when the printer’s control panel is not operated for a certain period of time. Set the time depending on your usage environment.
On a computer connected to the same network as the printer, open a browser and enter the printer's IP address.
You can check the printer's IP address using the following menu.
Enter the administrator password to log in as an administrator.
Select these menu items in the following order.
Device Management tab > Power Saving
Set up the following items as necessary.
You can also set up from the printer’s control panel.
Settings > General Settings > Basic Settings > Sleep Timer
You can also set up from the printer’s control panel.
Settings > General Settings > Basic Settings > Power Off Timer or Power Off Settings
You can also set up from the printer’s control panel.
Settings > General Settings > Basic Settings > Power Off Settings >Power Off If Disconnected
After entering sleep mode, the operation panel screen and all LEDs turn off. The LEDs remain lit while a job is being executed.
Pressing the power button during sleep mode will wake the device (the display and LEDs return to their original brightness). The recovery time is slightly longer than when Energy Saving Priority Mode is set to Off.
Scanning from a computer or mobile device during sleep mode may fail.
You can also set up from the printer’s control panel.
Settings > General Settings > Basic Settings > Energy Saving Priority Mode
Click OK.
