Guide Functions

Displays a warning if the paper settings (print settings) for the print job do not match the printer's paper settings made when you loaded the paper. This setting prevents misprinting. However, the paper setting screen is not displayed when Paper Configuration is disables in the following menus.

Settings > Printer Settings > Paper Source Setting

Displays a warning when an original has been left on the scanner glass when the document cover is not open even though copying and scanning using the control panel is complete. This function may not work correctly depending on the thickness of the original.

When any of the following operations are performed, the menus appropriate to the operation are displayed.

• A memory card is inserted.

• A USB memory is inserted.

• An original is placed on the scanner glass.

Enables or disables all guidance functions.

Resets the Guide Functions settings to their defaults.
