Use this connection method when you are not using Wi-Fi at home or at the office, or when you want to connect mobile devices or computers to the printer directly. In this mode, the printer acts as a wireless router and you can connect the devices to the printer without having to use a standard wireless router, but devices directly connected to the printer cannot communicate with each other.
The printer can be connected via a Wi-Fi Direct (Simple AP) connection and either a Wi-Fi(Infrastructure) or Ethernet connection simultaneously.
