Paper Does Not Eject Correctly

Printed paper is wavy or curled.

Solutions

You may be able to solve the problem using one of, or a combination of, the following solutions. These are the same when the optional finisher is installed.

  • Select the following according to the output tray for paper from the menus on the control panel. Depending on your environment, printing speed may decrease.

    • When ejecting paper to the face down tray or the inner tray, disable Print Speed Priority.

Settings > General Settings > Printer Settings > Print Speed Priority > Off

    • When ejecting paper to the finisher, enable Optimize Finishing.

When stapling: Settings > General Settings > Printer Settings > Optimize Finishing > Align when Staple > On

When not stapling: Settings > General Settings > Printer Settings > Optimize Finishing > Align when Non-staple > On

When saddle stitching or folding: Settings > General Settings > Printer Settings > Optimize Finishing > Align when Fold and Saddle Stitch > On

  • Lower the print density.

  • Change the paper type.

  • Change the orientation of the paper (portrait/landscape). Note that the printing time may change.

  • Change the front and back of the paper.
