Stapled Paper is Misaligned (When Using the Inner Finisher)

Make adjustments according to the type of paper misalignment.

Note:

This adjustment is only available when the paper size is Letter , A4 , B5 , or 16K .

When there is stair-like misalignment
  • Control panel

    1. Select the following menu on the home screen.

    Settings > General Settings > Printer Settings > Optimize Finishing

    2. Tap or in Align when Staple to set the adjustment value to 2 or 1, and then print.

  • Printer driver (Windows)

    1. Select the following.

    Maintenance tab > Extended Settings > Optimize Finishing > Off

    2. Click Settings to display the adjustment screen.

    Settings is available when an option other than Off is selected in Staple on the Finishing tab.

    3. Move the slide bar to set the adjustment value to 2 or 1, and then print.

When there is irregular misalignment
  • Control panel

    1. Select the following menu on the home screen.

    Settings > General Settings > Printer Settings > Optimize Finishing

    2. Set Align when Staple > Settings to On.

    3. Tap or to set the adjustment value to 5, and then print.

    If there is stair-like misalignment after adjusting, set the adjustment value to 4 or 3, and then print.

  • Printer driver (Windows)

    1. Select On in Optimize Finishing from the following menu, and then click Settings.

    Maintenance tab > Extended Settings > Optimize Finishing

    Settings is available when an option other than Off is selected in Staple on the Finishing tab.

    2. Move the slide bar to set the adjustment value to 5, and then print.

    If there is stair-like misalignment after adjusting, set the slide bar to 4 or 3, and then print.
