The computer is not displayed in the scanner

Is the computer turned on?

Check if the computer is on and is not in sleep mode.

Is Document Capture Pro installed on your computer?

Install Document Capture Pro on your computer and log on as a user.

If Epson ScanSmart is installed on your computer, are the application's settings correct?

When using Document Capture Pro on a computer with Epson ScanSmart installed, select Document Capture Pro from “Select Application” in Epson ScanSmart.

Are the network connection settings correct?

Make sure the following settings are correct.

  • The scanner and computer are connected to the same network segment

  • The operation mode on the scanner is set to "Client mode"

  • If a group number is set on the scanner, make sure the same group number is also set on the computer (supported models only)

  • The port number is set correctly

  • Cast packets can communicate along the network path between the scanner and the computer
