Sending by E-Mail

Setting Name

Select the saved settings you want to use from the list.

Select New from the list to register a new setting.

Edit

Click to overwrite or edit settings.

Click Change Settings to edit the contents of the selected setting.

Click Rename to change the name of the selected setting.

Click Delete to delete the selected setting.

Message Recipients

Enter an e-mail address, and then click Add to add it to the list.

Click Address Book to select an e-mail from your address book. To delete an address from the list, select the address and then click Delete.

Message

Enter the subject and body of the e-mail.

You can enter up to 256 Unicode characters for the subject and 1,024 Unicode characters for the body.

When this is selected and a size has been specified, a confirmation message is displayed if the file size exceeds the specified size.

Check e-mail before sending

Select to check the content of e-mails before they are sent.

Account Settings

Click to specify the sender's e-mail address, the e-mail software being used, and the SMTP server.

Your E-mail Address

Enter your e-mail address.

Sending Method

Make settings according to your e-mail software.

• Microsoft Outlook

  Select this if your e-mail software is Outlook.

  Also, if you have created multiple profiles in Outlook, select the profile you want to use for sending data.

  This is not available if Outlook is not installed on your computer.

• MAPI-enabled E-mail Application Software

  Select this if your e-mail software is Outlook or supports MAPI e-mail software (such as Windows Mail).

• SMTP

  If you are using e-mail software other than the above, select SMTP and enter the information required to send an e-mail.

  For details on authentication information, check the settings for your e-mail server, or contact your network administrator or e-mail service provider.

Check Transmission

Click to send a test e-mail to the address you entered in Your E-mail Address. If you receive the e-mail, setup is complete.
