For the Vertical Path Position

1. Remove all originals remaining in the input tray.

2. Open the vertical path cover.

   

3. Pull the lever to open the scanner cover.

   

4. Carefully remove any jammed originals.

   

5. If you cannot pull originals straight up, carefully pull out any jammed originals from the output tray in the direction of the arrow.

   
   Important:

   Make sure there is no paper inside the scanner.

6. Close the scanner cover with both hands. Next, close the vertical path cover.
