Basic:

Page Setup:

Displays the paper setting or Standard selected in Paper Size.

Media Type:

Select the type of paper on which you print.

Color:

Select whether to print in color or in monochrome.

Color Settings:

Make the color tone settings for the prints. If Advanced B&W Photo is selected as the Color setting, set the color tone for Color Toning.

Print Quality:

Select the pint quality you want to use for printing. The options vary depending on the paper type.

Black Enhance Overcoat:

Select to print with enhanced image contrast and tones of black. Black Enhance Overcoatcan only be selected for supported paper.

Gloss Smoothing:

Select this option when printing on photo paper to reduce the amount of light that is reflected off black areas and achieve a smoother gloss. However, black density may decrease. Gloss Smoothing is available when you have selected Photo Paper as the Media Type. This option may not be available depending on the print quality settings.

High Speed:

Prints when the print head moves in both directions. The print speed is faster, but the quality may decline.

Finest Detail:

Depending on the Print Quality setting you select, you can turn on Finest Detail to print text, solid graphics, and line art with very sharp edges.

Bottom Edge Print Quality Priority:

This feature improves unevenness in printing at the bottom edge of the paper. Select this when the print results on glossy paper are uneven, such as faint bands in dark areas at the bottom edge. You can select Bottom Edge Print Quality Priority when glossy paper is selected as the Media Type. Since priority is given to improving the unevenness, the printing speed will be slower.

Print Preview:

Displays a preview of your document before printing.
