Printing Photos onto a CD/DVD Label

You can select photos stored on a memory device to print onto a CD/DVD label.

Important:
  • Before printing on the CD/DVD, see the CD/DVD handling precautions.

  • Do not insert the CD/DVD tray while the printer is operating. This may damage the printer.

  1. Insert a memory device into the SD card slot or the external interface USB port of the printer.

  2. Select Various Prints on the control panel.

  3. Select Copy to CD/DVD > Print on CD/DVD.

  4. Select the layout.

    CD/DVD 1-up, CD/DVD 4-up, and CD/DVD Variety are available.

    Note:

    When you change the outer and inner diameter, select at the upper-right of the screen, and then select CD Inner/Outer. Set the outer and inner diameter using , and then select OK. You can also set the diameter by selecting the value in the frame and using the on-screen keypad.

    You can set 114 to 120 mm as the outer diameter, and 18 to 46 mm as the inner diameter in 1 mm increments.

  5. When a message telling you that loading photos is complete is displayed, select OK.

  6. Do one of the following.

    • CD/DVD 1-up: Select , select a photo, and then select Done. Select Next, and then go to step 9.
    • CD/DVD 4-up: Go to the next step.
    • CD/DVD Variety: Select photos until the number of photos that can be set reaches 0. Select Next, and then go to step 9.
  7. Select , select the photo you want to print on the select photo screen, and then select Done.

    Select Single View, and then select to edit the photo if necessary.

  8. Repeat steps 7 until all photos are placed, and then select Next.

  9. Select CD/DVD on the Basic Settings tab.

    Note:

    For test printing, select As a trial, and then load A4 plain paper in paper cassette 2. You can check the printout image before printing on a CD/DVD label.

  10. Select How To, and load a CD/DVD by referring to the instructions.

    Important:

    Place a CD/DVD on the CD/DVD tray with the printable side facing up. Press the center of the CD/DVD to securely set it on the CD/DVD tray. Otherwise, the CD/DVD may fall off the tray. Turn over the tray to check that the CD/DVD is firmly secured in the tray.

    Note:

    You may feel slight friction when inserting the tray into the printer. This is normal and you should continue to insert it horizontally.

  11. Select Advanced Settings tab, and then change the settings as necessary.

  12. Select Basic Settings tab, and then tap .

  13. When printing has finished, the CD/DVD tray is ejected. Remove the tray from the printer, and then select Printing Complete.

    Important:

    After printing is finished, make sure you remove the CD/DVD tray. If you do not remove the tray and turn the printer on or off, or run head cleaning, the CD/DVD tray will strike the print head and may cause the printer to malfunction.

  14. Remove the CD/DVD and store the CD/DVD tray on the bottom of paper cassette 2.
