Selecting the Scanning Mode

1. Click Settings in the Epson ScanSmart window.

2. Select the scanning mode on the Scan Settings window.

   
   • Auto Mode: Detects whether your original is a document or a photo and selects the mode automatically.
   • Document Mode: Select this mode when your original is a document. You can make detailed scan settings such as resolution or document size by clicking Custom Settings.
   • Photo Mode: Select this mode when your original is a photo. You can scan with a wide variety of image adjustment features. This mode is suitable for scanning fine photos.
     When you scan the original using Photo Mode, the Epson Scan 2 window is displayed. Make detailed settings, and then click Scan.
