Panel LED

The following table describes meaning of each LED light.

Power LED

This turns on when the printer is on.

Flashes during power-off process or while updating firmware.

Error LED

  • On

    Indicates that the printer is temporarily unable to print, such as when no roll paper is loaded or the roll paper cover is open.

  • Flashing

    Indicates an error such as a power failure. To clear this type of error, you need to turn the printer off and then back on.

Paper LED

This LED turns on when the printer is nearly out of or has run out of roll paper.

Ethernet LED

  • On

    Indicates that the LAN cable is connected and the printer is ready to communicate.

  • Flashing

    Indicates that the printer is temporarily unable to communicate, such as when it is obtaining an IP address after the LAN cable is connected.

  • Off

    Indicates that the printer is not connected to Ethernet. This LED also stays off while the printer is connected to a Wi-Fi.

Wi-Fi LED

This LED indicates the status of Wi-Fi connection through an optional wireless LAN unit.

  • On

    Indicates that the printer is connected to Wi-Fi and is ready to communicate.

  • Flashing

    Indicates that the printer is temporarily unable to communicate, such as when it is obtaining an IP address after being connected to Wi-Fi.

  • Off

    Indicates that the printer is not connected to Wi-Fi. This LED also stays off while the printer is connected to a wired LAN.
