LED Indicators

This section describes the function of each LED.

For more information on the scanner statuses indicated by the LEDs, see Meanings of LED Indications.

Power LED

Stays on while the scanner is powered on.

Error LED

  • On

    The scanner is offline, such as when the scanner cover or franker cover is open.

  • Flashing

    An error has occurred or the scanner is waiting for documents to be removed.

Document LED

  • On

    The scanner is ready to process documents in the ASF or the scanner is processing documents.

  • Flashing

    The scanner is waiting for documents to be loaded.

When using the USB connector for network communication

Ethernet LED

When the scanner is connected to the network using this method, this LED does not function. It remains off except when it flashes upon turning on the scanner.

Wi-Fi LED

This LED does not function on this scanner. It remains off except when it flashes upon turning on the scanner.

When using the Ethernet connector for network communication

Ethernet LED

  • On

    A LAN cable is connected to the scanner and the scanner is ready to communicate.

  • Flashing

    The scanner is temporarily unable to communicate, such as when it is obtaining an IP address after a LAN cable is connected.

  • Off

    The scanner is not connected to an Ethernet network.

Wi-Fi LED

This LED does not function on this scanner. It remains off except when it flashes upon turning on the scanner.
