Select PDF from 2. Save screen - File Type, and then click Option to enable the searchable PDF settings. This feature allows you to save a PDF containing searchable text.

By purchasing a DCP Enhanced OCR license, you can access even higher quality conversion features.

Additional user-defined indexes

You can create a user-defined index. You can set a user-defined index based on barcodes or OCR, and output it as index data.

Additional options for outputting index items

On the 3. Index screen, select Enable Index Function and Output the index items to the file, and then click Output Settings to display the Output Settings screen. The Output Settings screen allows you to set output items and file names when outputting index items to a file.

The following options are added to Index Separation and File Name.

Index Separation:

Document

Document is added to the Index Separation options on the Output Settings screen.

Select Document to save the index in units of the image file to be output.

File Name:

File Name

File Name is added to the File Name options on the Output Settings screen.

You can also add the file name of the scanned image to the index file by selecting File Name.
