When communicating through an email server, data scanned on this product is sent as an email and delivered to the recipient device through an SMTP server. Similarly when receiving, emails sent from the recipient device arrive at the email server, and this product retrieves the content and outputs it as a fax. By using an email server, internet faxes can be sent and received using the same method as a standard email environment.
