For both upward and frontward paper ejection, there are four slots (one each in rear center, right, left, and bottom) through which you can pass cables.
Rear center Passing Cables through the Rear Center
Left or RightPassing Cables through the Left or Right
Bottom Passing Cables through the Bottom
When you pass cables through the right, left, or bottom of the printer, you can reattach the cable slot cover to hide the slot in the rear center.
To reattach the cover, hook the tab of the cover onto the rear cover, and then push the other side in.
A: Tab
B: Rear cover
Remove the cable slot cover, and then pass cables through the slot.
With your fingers, fold the tab on the side you want to pass cables and remove it to make a slot.
If the slot is jagged, smooth it out with nippers or a file to prevent the cables from being damaged.
Once the tabs are removed, they cannot be put back on. Make sure to decide how to route the cables before removing the tab.
