Pressing the Scanner Button Does Not Start Epson FastFoto

  • Make sure the following applications are installed:

    • Epson FastFoto

    • Epson Scan 2

    • Epson Event Manager

If the applications are not installed, install them again.

Note:

See the following to check your applications.

Windows 10: Right-click the start button or press and hold it, and then select Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

Windows 8.1/Windows 8: Select Desktop > Settings > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

Windows 7: Click the start button and select Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.

Mac OS: Select Go > Applications > EPSON Software.

  • Click Settings > Scanner Settings tab, and then check the following:

    • Make sure that Scanner is selected correctly. If not, click Change and select your scanner.

    • When you are using the scanner via Wi-Fi, click Change and make sure that the scanner is paired with the computer correctly. If your scanner is not listed, check that the Wi-Fi connection is working correctly.

    • Click Select Application, and then make sure that Epson FastFoto is selected.

  • Make sure another computer is not connecting by USB. A USB connection takes priority over a Wi-Fi connection. If another computer is connected by USB, disconnect it.

  • Make sure the Epson FastFoto and other applications are installed correctly.

  • Try turning the wireless router's power off and then on again.

  • For Mac OS X users: Make sure you select the network that has priority on your Mac OS X.
