High-Quality Scanning with Automatic Document Detection

When scanning to detect the color of the originals automatically, you can use Color, Grayscale, or Black & White as the automatic detection. When scanning a mixture of colored originals and monochrome originals, this feature automatically scans them in the most suitable mode; color originals as color images, monochrome originals as Black & White binary images, and monochrome originals with gradation as Grayscale images.
