  • The passkey (a = 49) is specified with a character string.
  • Example: 
    If 1234 is specified as the passkey, the string is the 4 bytes "1234" [Hex = 31h, 32h, 33h, 34h / Decimal = 49, 50, 51, 52].
  • The device name (a = 65) is specified with a character string.
  • Example: 
    If EPSON is specified as the device name, the string is the 5 bytes "EPSON" [Hex = 45h, 50h, 53h, 4Fh, 4Eh / Decimal = 69, 80, 83, 79, 78].
  • The Bundle Seed ID (a = 70) is specified with a character string.
  • Example: 
    If EPSONTMP60 is specified as the Bundle Seed ID, the string is the 10 bytes "EPSONTMP60" [Hex = 45h, 50h, 53h, 4Fh, 4Eh, 54h, 4Dh, 50h, 36h, 30h / Decimal = 69, 80, 83, 79, 78, 84, 77, 80, 54, 48].
  • The Automatic reconnection with iOS device (a = 73) is specified with 1-byte character, "0" or "1".

[Notes]

  • Note the following points when changing the communication conditions.
    • If the communication conditions between the host and printer no longer match, the printer is no longer able to receive data from the host. Also data sent from the printer cannot be received by the host.
  • This function operates in the user setting mode.
  • The communication conditions set with this function are valid when GS ( E   <Function 2> of this command is executed. Then the printer operates with the changed communication conditions. If the host is not changed to the same communication conditions, communication is not possible.
  • The communication conditions set are valid until the following operations are executed. They are not initialized when the power is turned off or by ESC @.
